XP firewall and home network

I have a wireless home network, three systems, cable modem with a linksys wireless router. All systems see and talk to each other; however, if I turn on XP firewall then my systems won't allow access to each other.

How do I work around this?

You need a 3rd party firewall.
Internet Connection Firewall is not designed for a home or business
network.
It is intended to protect a stand alone computer.

what sorts of things do you need to be accessible? you might get away with
simply opening up the ports for file and printer sharing and upnp. if you've
got some more advanced applications, this might not be enough.

unfortunately off the top of my head I don't recall the exact port numbers
but I'm sure you can find them on the web, maybe even on microsoft.com

Hello,
You cannot open ports on ICF for file and printer sharing. The interface
has a liminted number of available options. The suggestion to have a
trirdparty firewall software installed is the best option for a wireless
network.
