I am currently running XP home Ed. and I use the windows XP file settings &
transfer wizard. It is pretty easy, and saves the settings as a .UNC file,
but the problem arises when I format my computer and try to restore the
settings. It keeps saying that the path is not found, even though I point it
to the folder where the settings wizard has been saved. Anyone got any
ideas to this glitch,,
Thanks

Create a new folder (name it Transfer or similar) and move both the
original transfer folder and the .UNC file into this.

Then run FASTW again and point it at the new (e.g. Transfer) folder.

Also, have you updated your new install to the same level (Service
Packs and Critical Updates) as your previous install? If not then
that may be the source of your problems. FASTW works best if both
the old and the new computer are at the same update status.

Good luck
