XP FAX

When I attempted to use the xp fax program I got an error
message saying unable to connect to fax server. I
reinstalled the fax service from the xp install disk.
however, when i click on the fax bar in the program menu
the bar show the word empty and I can not use the fax
service. I am still unable to reinstall the fax services
after several attempts. HELP!
 
Post the steps you used to install fax and what happened when you tried.
Post the analog fax modem you are using and whether it appears on the
Windows XP HCL list.
 
Thanks. I click on control panel, add new software,
install ms software, fax, the wizard appears and i follow
the instructions, the wizard finishes and I close the
wizard. When I look in the programs, accessories,
communication, fax, the folder states "empty". What am I
doing wrong. ralph

I can't tell from what little you posted. What about your fax modem? Is it
on the Windows XP HCL list? What does your faxsetup.log tell you?
