XP fails to install

While attempting a clean install of XP it gets to the same
point and dies. My monitor quits receiving a signals and
the setup hangs. After giving it 30 minutes I read where
the Legacy BIOS should be shut off, so I did that, it
still hangs. I am using a 2.4 gig hard drive on a new P4P
Asus motherboard. I also switched to a serial mouse and
keyboard, still no luck.

A 2.4 Gig hard drive is pretty close to the minimum free space XP needs to
install. Try a larger drive!!
