I have a question? If I have a document that I use and I save it as a
different document name. Then I open that new document and clear out 75% of
the data in it and save it. Why is the document the same saize and I deleted
75% of the data?

Thanks,
Rick

Just guessing along without seeing what the original Excel
spreadsheet looked like, one may surmise that the number of
active cells, although empty, has remained the same. The size
of the Excel file may be bound to the number of cells that was
initially designed for it. IOW, what was deleted? Rows or the
cell contents?

I did a clear contents of the data within the cells.
