Hi,

Can I create an adhoc wireless network with XP Home edition or should I use
XP Professional?

THanks

So you are saying I can use Home edition for an ad hoc wireless network?

Yes. The main difference between Home and Pro is that Pro has the ability to
join a domain (which has nothing to do with wireless networking). This is
old, but still, I think, valid (although SP2 has added a few things):

How to set up an ad hoc wireless network:

This is a pre-SP2 article, so it doesn't mention WPA/WPA2 wireless security,
but I believe that ad hoc wireless is limited to the not-so-secure WEP
encrypton.

You really ought to reconsider your desire to use ad hoc. Wireless routers
are not very expensive, and infrastructure mode can be made much more secure.

Yes, you can. Home will let you to that and if you use a switch
or router, it'll also let you network up to 5 machines.
