I downloaded one of the updates from the website that was
older because I have alot that I have missed, and when it
finished installing my computer froze. When I tried to
start it back up but it gets to the Windows XP loading
screen and then restarts. My CD drive doesn't work so I
can't reinstall with the CD's my computer came with. Any
suggestions?

Reboot into SAFE MODE by pressing the F8 key while booting.

How to Access Safe Mode
http://www.webtree.ca/windowsxp/repair_xp.htm#How to access Safe Mode

Once you are in SAFE MODE, go to:
Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore
Select a RESTORE POINT that was created prior to downloading
SP1, such as yesterday's Restore Point.

Then perform the following:

1. Perform a DISK CLEANUP:
(Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup)

2. Go to Start > Run and type: CMD , and hit enter. In the Command
Prompt window type: CHKDSK /F , and hit enter, answer "yes" and
reboot your computer.
