Hi,
After a lot of trouble and with help from you guys I manage to install XP
Home. But it seems to be a hybride between ME and XP. I'm comparing with
another computer and in that one XP is more colorful. For example, the
startbutton looks like in ME, not the green one as it should be. Everthing
seems to work, but maybe a little bit slower.
Any idea what to do?

Right click on the desktop and select properties
Then select Appearance Tab
Under Windows and Buttons - Select Windows XP Style

XP will run faster if you opt to use the 'classic' look.. it places way less
strain on the video ability which is the part of XP that you see in front of
you.. the XP theme does nothing for performance generally and regardless of
which look you choose, it is still very much XP.. if you go to Control
Panel - System - Advanced - Performance, you will notice that there are four
options.. the first (let Windows manage the styles) adjusts visual styles
depending on the ability of your system.. the second (adjust for best
performance) removes all XP styles, ands while it may LOOK like ME, it most
definitely isn't.. the third (adjust for best appearance.. subjective)
applies all XP styles.. the fourth (custom) gives you the option of picking
what you like best..

Your call..
