XP DOES NOT RECOGNISE FUJI S304 CAMERA

Before realising the wonders of XP I manually installed
the FUJI S304 software suite. Subsequantly under imaging
etc within XP I noticed an option whereby when a digital
camera is connected the XP suite opens to view and upload
images.

Mine does not, is this because I manually installed the
software? FUJI S304 software suite is designed for XP
although under the cameras listed the S304 does not
feature in the preloaded settings.

Should I uninstall and reinstall under XP features?

Yes - but do it this way. Uninstall the camera in

ControlPanel. Disconnect camera. Turn OFF PC. Reboot
PC. Reconnect camera. Now WindowsXP should state "new
hardware found" do you want to install it, answer "yes".
It will now either install or will ask you to insert the
installation CD. Have fun.
