Hi this is a portable with a 10.6 wide screen. Don't understand what you mean by the front of the monitor?

Sorry, I didn't realize it was a laptop, because you didn't say till now
that it was. On a desktop monitor, there are buttons for Horizontal,
Vertical, etc. This doesn't apply in your case.

Change the screen resolution and refresh rate from the display properties ->
advanced, from control panel.
