Hi,

I recently bought a WINXP CD which doesn't have SP1 and
other updates. Is it possible for me to download all the
patches together as a single package and install without
windows update site.

The problem is that I have dial-up internet connection
and so I want to download from my friend's house and
install in my PC. And so, windows update site doesn't
help.

Hi

You can "pre-download" updates from the Windows Update Catalog...

HOW TO: Download Windows Updates and Drivers from the Windows Update Catalog
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=323166

but this is how I would have done it (6 downloads):

You will find SP1a here (a 134 MB download, same file for Pro and Home)
under Network Installation:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/servicepacks/sp1/default.asp

This one contains 22 updates for XP released after SP1 in one package (do not
download the express-installation version!):

Update Rollup 1 for Windows XP Is Available
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=826939

Then you should download these security updates released after "Update Rollup
1":
