XP Crashes Stop 0X0000008E

XP keeps crashing with a blue screen and the following stop error messag

STOP 0X0000008E (0X0000005, 0X805A93B6, 0XF54FCB3C, 0X00000000

The crashes usually occur during a virus scan or when I am recording MP3 files using MusicMatch

If anyone can help me figure out the problem I would appreciate it. I have run out of ideas.
