Hi,

My computer running xp home edition is crashed, but it keeps trying to
reboot so fast that I can't see the blue screen, so I don't know what the
error msg is and so I don't know what to do. The machine crashed about a
year ago, and I went through the whole thing to repair the registry guided by
MS support folks. I suspect that this is what I have to do this time as well,
but how do I know.

Any idea how to get it to stay on the error screen?

thanks...

You can press the Pause button on keyboard, try on starting computer or
restart, tap the F8 key, select safe mode with networking, then enter as adm-
inistrator,open ADM.,event viewer,chk events.You should also install xp cd,
exit info page,go to run, type:cmd In cmd type:Sfc /Scannow When the graph
is thru,type:CHKDSK C: /F Agree to restart,then type:EXIT Restart computer,
remove xp cd.

Go to control panel..system..advanced tab..under startup and recovery click
the settings button and uncheck automatically restart.
