XP can't find my scanner

Problem of the week is all of a sudden my Epson 1200
scanner is not opening up when I press the scanner
button. Windows has Twain installed but doesn't "see" the
scanner. All connections are in place (USB & Power).
Tried uplugging everything, turning off computer, and
restarting everything: No help. Can't add the scanner
under camera/scanner Add Device area becuase it only
lists a couple of Epson digital cameras, no scanners.
Device Manager shows nothing installed, no imaging
devices at all.
I'm stumped.

Bob which Epson 1200 do you have? There are 3 different 1200's.

PS Uninstall the driver and reinstall driver without the scanner plugged in.
