XP can't access 2000 Pro

I have a three computer network, 2 desktops running Win 2k Pro wired to a router and a laptop running XP with a wireless adpter. I can see all computers on the network but can't access between the XP system and the 2k system. internet connection are all good. When I try to ping the Laptop from another compter I get request timed out. I deselect IC
 
Greetings CC,

Make sure the XP's firewall is disabled. If you are running any third party
firewalls, make sure it isn't blocking access between the machines. Ensure
NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled on all machines.

you should add a username account for everyone on each
computer.

Win2k 1 - users= bob, jane, jack
win2k 2 - users= bob, jane, jack
winxp 3 - users= bob, jane, jack

everytime you make a change to the users or what user can
access what files you have to note that change on the
other computers as well.

the same account has to be setup on all computers the same
