XP cannot find second SATA drive

I just installed a second Maxtor Serial ATA hard drive. However, although
the BIOS knows it's there, Windows XP doesn't.

Both Serial ATA drives are connected to the VIA ports of my MSI K8T Neo
motherboard. How do I get Windows XP to detect the second Serial ATA hard
drive?

Are you saying disk manager cannot see it to initialize?
