Can anyone help! I've downloaded the file winxp_en_pro_bf.exe to make a
bootdisk for My computer and windows will not let me make the disks it gives
me this message "The system file is not suitable for running Ms-dos and
microsoft applications". I need to make these disks so that I can put windows
back on my computer after I format it.

Hi,

The boot floppy set only runs a limited version of the Recovery Console. To
put Windows back on you would boot the CD itself.

1) Does the error message identify which system file is not suitable?

2) Why do you feel the need to reformat?

You should not need bootdisks if you have the original Windows XP CD. Change
your BIOS to boot from the CD if you have to and the XP CD should just spin
up and you will get a "Press any key to boot from CD..." press any key and go
through the setup including formatting your drive.

Hope that helps,
Mark
