Mike

I am trying to find the steps to create an XP Boot Disk &
Password Rescue Disk but I cannot find anything in Windows
help on these topics. Are they unneccessary in XP? If so
why? AND the steps to backup my system do not work. I do
not have a back up option in System Tools as the help
instruction claim...any reason for this?

PS. I use XP home edition
Thanks

Mike, the WinXP CD is bootable.

You create a Password Reset Disk by clicking on "Prevent a Forgotten Password"
link in the left pane. The Wizard will guide you through. - (Control Panel, User
Accounts, select the User)

Hope this answers all your questions. Personally I prefer Norton's Ghost for the
backup.
