XP and Vista Dual boot

I have 2 300 MB disks 1 SATA one Maxtor I partitioned the sata for 80
GB installed XP to that then installed Vista to the other 200 MB
Partition.

The Maxtor (IDE) had Vista originally installed to it but I renamed the
windows folder and removed the io.sys and other boot files etc. I ran
the system restore of vista to have it recover the startup display but
to no avail. Any Ideas?

microsoft.public.windows.vista.general would probably be a better place to
ask.
