I Have XP Pro all running OK with 5 users My account is
admin all other normal user.

I had stick of crucial RAM (512k) spare - powered down -
inserted RAM powered up all self test ok boot windows
shows White activation bar OK then BLUE screen of death
(only visable for about half second or less) - machine
reboots - this time msg box appears

LSASS.EXE invalid parameter in function or procedure OK

press OK and machine reboots

Can't get into Auto fix at boot up
Can't get F8 Safe mode
Only cure I've found is complete reinstall from CD after
trash of HD

Who is this LSASS and how do I avoid him

Thanks in anticipation

Greetings --

It's absolutely essential that any new RAM module(s) be fully
compatible with both the motherboard and/or any other RAM module(s)
already in the system. Additionally, there are sometimes jumper
switches on older motherboards that need to be reset for new RAM
configurations. Consult your motherboard's manual or the
manufacturer's web site for specific instructions and compatibility
requirements.
