XP and ISA?

Any computer that is so old that it still has serial printer ports connected
by cable to the motherboard hasn't a hope in hell of running XP..

WinXP doesn't really support Plug-n-Play ISA devices, but if
you've the WinXP-compatible device drivers for the ISA card, you
shouldn't any problems. (and, in a pinch, sometimes Win2K drivers
will work.) My first WinXP machine had an ISA modem that worked fine,
once I'd manually installed the drivers. For a more definitive
answer, consult the manufacturer of the specific I/O card you're
thinking of using.

Perhaps, but what has this to do with the OP's question?

Not a great deal as it stands.. only part of the post seems to have been
delivered.. oh well..

Apologies for the first post.. only part seems to have reached here..

As Bruce has suggested, some ISA cards will work, the ISA Creative modem for
instance.. Creative produced XP drivers for those, but having looked at I/O
cards on a website, it would appear that drivers for Win 2000 or XP are
non-existent.. you could try the card anyway, but don't hold your breath..

Your best bet is to use a PCI variant..

This is the website that I visited.. you can see for yourself..

Good luck
