The Admininistrator password on my home PC may have been set with a password
longer than that allowed during Sign On. ? Failing that the password has been
changed and has been forgotten. What options do I have to get back in as
Admininistrator (No password backup disk exists). What options do I have ? Or
am I just locked out ?

"Longer than that allowed" would be impossible to do - it wouldn't "allow"
it.
(Plus - that's a lot of typing.)

The latter is the likely explanation. Set it and forget it. Great for
roasts, bad for passwords.

Hack your password:

L0phtCrack is/was popular as well - but I couldn't find the link quickly
(Symantec owns it.)

How to create and use a password reset disk for a computer that is not a

I would really hope that there would be no way to get in.
