I bought XP professional upgrade from XP Home on-line, and tried to activate
it. Got the product key, but no 'Activate Windows' prompt showed up in my
System Tools box. Rebooted to check again. Now I can't log into my system -
keep getting error message: 0x80004005 - 'problem with accurately checking
the license for this computer'. Major annoyance. Brand new computer.
Already paid for the softward upgrade. Can't use anything. All the website
says is choose activation method by phone - DOESN'T help if you can't even
log in...! Any advice out there?

Same problem ... installed /uninstalled programs....
system shut down Is ther a way to reinstall Xp ?

If you are unable to boot to the XP desktop, boot to safe mode, boot the
system, start tapping F8, at the menu choose safe mode and then do the
following:

Go to start/run, and type

regsvr32.exe regwizc.dll

OK, then,

regsvr32.exe licdll.dll
