XP activation question

I've been booting from a 60G drive for a couple years. Recently I added
a second larger drive, did a clean install of XP Home, and am gradually
adding apps and data files. Now I can boot from either one by changing
BIOS sequence. My intention is to wipe and re-partition the old drive
after I get the new one set up as I want it. When on the new drive, I
initially got a pop-up reminder to activate XP within 30 days, but I no
longer do, even though I still have about 10 days to go. Here's the
question...after I activate XP on the new drive, does the old drive
automatically cease to be bootable?

The old drive will still be bootable, however you may have troubles with
activating the new one.

If you haven't activated, but the machine isn't bugging you about
activation, you can activate by going Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -
There's usually an Activate Windows icon in the list if you haven't
activated...

When you do activate, the old drive will still boot, but you will probably
be violating the EULA....

No. The activation records in the windows folder files and registry of
the instance that you boot that this instance has been activated on this
hardware (and that that has not significantly changed). So a new
installation needs a new activation, but that does not affect the old
one
