After a reinstallion of windows XP home edition. I keep
getting a software activation promt after every boot up.
I have activated numerous time with success, but the
problem does'nt stop. Also tried reinstalling XP again,
did not help. Also the only way it will let me activate
is by telephone.

Can anyone help me?

Does it stay activated once you have done so by telephone?

If not then try re-registering the activation .DLL files.

Use Start- Run and enter the following text in the dialog box:
regsvr32.exe regwizc.dll

Then do it again with the following text:
regsvr32.exe licdll.dll

Good luck

Call 1-888-571-2048 and follow the prompts. It is the Microsoft product
activation line. You can activate the OS over the phone.
