I purchase 5 copies of the retail version of XP for 5 new workstations. I
want to use Ghost and I have every intention on using each of the 5 product
codes in my sysprep/ghost process. I read in the support section of
Microsoft that the sysprep method will only allow 3 product reactivations in
a vague sense. My question is that if I input each product id on each new
system at the time of bootup on the sysprep'd image will the 3 reactivation
limit stop me on the 4th and 5th workstation or will this process work for
all 5 CPU's.

Thanks in advance!!!

Hello,

You will be able to activate all five of your computers as long as you use
a different Product Key with each machine. If you install Windows XP on the
same computer by using the same Product Key, the number of activations is
not limited. MPA discourages piracy by limiting the number of times that a
Product Key can be activated on different computers. The key here is that
MPA limits you when attempting to use the same key on different computers.

In your situation you are using unique key for each machine.

I have included some addition reference material you might find useful.
