Hi everyone,

I tried patching up one of our development servers from
the Blaster worm using the above mentioned OS, but the XP
64-bit patch doesn't seem to want to work. Is there any
patch that will work for this? Or am I out of luck
because this is an evaluation version?

Please help.

Thanks,
Ty

Do you have 64 bit Windows XP? Probably not so you will need the 32 Bit

What is the exact error you get?
If this is a pre-release 64-bit version (not the full XP
evaluation), you may very well be out of luck, pre-
release copies generally aren't supported for patches.

The exact error is:

"The image file xpsp1hfm.exe is valid, but is for a
machine type other than the current machine."

I'm not sure if the version is the full XP evaluation or
not. Maybe you can tell from the following?

Windows XP 64-bit Edition Version 2003
Evaluation copy. Build 3790.srvr2.030807-1835 (Service
Pack 1, v.1039)

Thanks for the help,
Ty

This is not a bad idea. I may have to do this if a patch
really does not exist. Thanks.
