XL XP template, labels jump around after print preview

I am working on an XL XP worksheet (I'm calling it a template, but it's
really just a worksheet). I have Office SP3 installed.

I have lots of labels from the control toolbox, all over the sheet. All
labels are set to PrintObject=false. Sheet is landscape oriented

Before I print preview, everything is fine. When I print preview it appears
fine (labels aren't visible), then when I click "close" to return to the
document, most (not all) of my labels have moved, generally moving all the
way to the left side of the page (ranging from Column A through F, rather
than their original locations in the page which ranges from columns A to
AY).

Is this a known issue, and if so, is there a workaround?

Thanks in advance,
Keith R

After reading a couple of your questions, I'm beginning to think that you
should, perhaps, use one worksheet for data entry with all *normal* labels
in cells, etc. Create a second worksheet that contains only what you want
printed, and in the format you want it printed. To get the data from the
first sheet, just copy, go to the second sheet and hit Edit-Paste
special-Paste link. All these controls aren't sweet for a nice app. You can
record a macro that goes to the second sheet, prints it, then goes back to
sheet one. Put a command button on sheet one to Print, which runs the macro
you recorded.

Unfortunately the hardcopy form I'm creating this template to "fill out" has
lots of optional entry areas; the logic required to figure out where to
paste each entry would be more extensive than I'd like.... so I was hoping
to just imitate the form layout and have the user decide where to put which
items.

If I used a mirror-image user-input form, ideally I'd also want to capture
the print event and divert it to print my hidden page, or (as you suggest) a
commandbutton....but either option would require macros- unfortunately our
corporate Office XP install is set to high security, and I'm working with
users who aren't computer savvy, so they'd end up just printing the entry
worksheet and wonder why I would produce such a yucky template :-/

Any way to work with the existing control toolbox labels? specifically, to
anchor them in place?

Thanks,
Keith R

Well, I hope someone has a workaround because I'm going to say there's
nothing to be done about it. Having so many controls on a sheet will do
that.

Yep, that accurate describes the problem, and the fix worked as well! Many
thanks!

Now if I could just figure out why my searches of the MS site never find
anything...maybe the search terms I use just aren't the same terms they
use...
;-)

I didn't actually find it. I subscribe to a service called kbalertz and got a
email notification that this article was available--and coincidentally, it came
right in the middle of another thread (just a couple of weeks ago!).
