Xl search problem

Hi - I am not able to search the value in xl sometimes (even if I see it
right there in front of my eyes!!), but able to do that when I save & re-open
or re-start the computer.

Any way in which I can avoid such instances?

Open excel (so that everything is working ok)

Then display the Edit|find (or ctrl-f) dialog, click on the options button and
make a note of all the things that are chosen.

Then the next time the Find fails, look at those options and make sure that
they're what you want.

I'm guessing that either you (or a macro) is changing one of the settings--and
excel remembers the last setting--and it "breaks" your find.
