I'm considering the purchase of a laptop currently running Windows SE and has
an XGA monitor. The Windows XP Pro checklist says that the system should
have an SVGA monitor. Is an XGA monitor compatible with upgrading to Windows
XP? Thanks.

You should visit the support web site of the manufacturer
of the laptop and see if they offer a Windows XP compatible
video adapter driver designed for that specific make and
model.
