This may just be anal but no matter what I try I can't
erase the Xerox directory from Program Files. The read
only attribute can be unchecked but even though the
directory is empty the error message says that other
applications are using the directory and it cannot be
deleted. Any suggestions (other than just leave it there
and forget it)?

Leave it and forget it as it is a system folder. Being Sunday, my memory
may not be perfect. As I recall, the folder is used by Windows as a
temporary folder for one or more of your image devices.

Go around deleting things, that you have no knowledge of, will surely get
you in trouble!

1) Uninstall the software:
A. Check Start->Programs for any Xerox software.
If there is something
there, look for an Uninstall option.
B. Check Start->Settings->Control
Panel->Add/Remove Programs for any
Xerox software. If there is something there, highlight
it and click
Remove.
C. Check Start->Settings->Printers for the
printer drivers. If there
are any instances of your Xerox driver, highlight the
icon and hold
Shift+Delete on your keyboard. Answer "yes" or "ok" to
any questions that
pop up.

Any advice given is my attempt to show appreciation for all
the excellent help I've received here but I'm no MVP so it
may only apply NUGS. Personal attacks, nitpicking & criticism
of anything but content will NOT be responded too. Those
posters should spend their time taking the test @
