I have searched & searched for an answer to this puzzle, but to no
avail...
A customer of mine has a Xerox XL2120 Copier/Printer and a brand-new
Dell Dimension 8300 (Win XP Home Edition). The two appear to be
incompatible.
The Xerox works fine on my machine at the office (Clone/XP Pro). I
loaned the client a Kyocera-Mita FS-1010 laser printer and the Dell
prints to it just fine (the parallel port does work).
I have downloaded drivers from Xerox (twice, just in case) and have
removed the printer & driver several times from the Dell machine with
no luck. Tried a new printer cable. Nada.
The Dell does see the printer--the found new h/w wiz launches, etc.
The Xerox 'Status Monitor' shows the printer as "Ready".
Any suggestions?
