Xerox workcenter m940

I cannot get Xerox workcenter M940 to work on win XP Pro. It worked fine on win 95 and Win98. I have downoaded the progrom from xerox.com and still doesn't work. i have uninstalled all drivers relating to printers as, suggested, still doesn't work, any suggestions? does another driver from xerox work on the work center M940? Thanks for your help if you know.

Disconnect printer from PC. Do a complete blitz of drivers by following
Bruce Sanderson's instructions at
http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/CleanPrinterDrivers.htm

Then download new drivers from the Xerox website
http://www.support.xerox.com/go/results.asp?prodID=M940&Xlang=en_US&Xcntry=USA

Install software. Do NOT reconnect printer until software tells you to do
so.
