X instead of picture

I sometimes get a small red x in a box when a picture
should be there. What causes this. Thank you.
 
I have had the same problem, I had to go to Sun.com web
site and load new Java Web Start application for Java
script. Worked perpect after that.
Go to Sun.Com choose Downloads
go to top 10 Java downloads
pick the Java Web Start download and go for it.
