This file constantly is trying to access the internet and
i cant stop it no matter what I do. And how do i know if
i got that new virus. Also i want to know where to get
all virus updates. i got all updates from the windows
update site but i dont know if i got them from the virus
site.
the directory that the file is under is
C:\\windows\system32\wuamgrd.exe
if u can help please help me

Then delete the below files and Folders:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\wuamgrd.exe <--- delete the wuamgrd.exe file"

You have to enable a firewall or get a free one from www.zonealarm.com

You have to get a free antivirus in www.grisoft.com
and update it from within the antivirus.

Its a trojan, turn off your System restore, or it will regenerate, then use
your AV to remove it, if it is capable. If you don't have an AV or it isn't
able, boot into Safe Mode, then find the file and delete it.

Also get a good spyware trojan detector and use it, there are free ones
available, like Adaware 6.0
 
When i delet that file when i reset my computer the file
just comes back it wont go away for ever
 
Hi, I have had that wuamgrd on my computer for the last month now.
It's driving me crazy. I've done everything I can to get rid of it.
Deleted the entries out of the registry, deleted the '.exe' file for
it, found anything with the "wuamgrd" name on my computer and removed
it. (And it even disappeared out of my [msconfig] startup list.) And
it's gone for awhile (few days, maybe) then it's back. Even when I've
not connected to the internet. I'm wondering if maybe it's under
another file name too(?)
If anyone has any information on that, I'd really appreciate the info.
 
I'm trying to find out how to permanently delete this virus: "wuamgrd"
And I keep seeing posts saying it's in the c:\windows\system32 folder,
but I find it on my system (just by doing a simple all files and
folders search) here:
C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch\WUAMGRD.EXE-1F30ADE2.pf
