wtf is nkvd . us?

hi everyone, my home page has been hijacked by " searchpage .cc " no
matter what i type in it reverts back to this page titled "Search for
everything" ... , ran spybot, adware 6 .. no luck .. all websites typed
in end up with "http:// nkvd .us " preceding my desired page.. anyone
has experienced this?.. thanks, Rob

I had this same problem. The program was VERY DIABOLICAL. When I
typed "searchpage.cc" in GOOGLE, it gave me an error. Spybot and
Adaware are not aware of the problem yet. I was able to get this
stuff off my PC by using CWSHREADER. You can find CWSHREADER at:

http://www.spywareinfo.com/articles/cws/

Read the article and download CWSHREADER. The article's a few months
old. But, it still applies.
 
It appears that you're infected with CoolWebSearch (CWS).
Please download CoolWebShredder, unzip and run it, select Fix, let it
scan, have it fix all CWS remnants, and then post a fresh HJT log in
this topic after it's finished.
