sup all,

dont you hate it..... when your playing a game... say
counter strike.... and when u walk into a realy dark
area.... you cant see a thing....... its like a black
screen with a green crosshair in the middle... yer
well.... thats how it it for all my games........

for sum reason.... my comp' is running all the programs
on like..... 20% brightness.......

example 1..... Enter the Matrix game......
On the FIRST level..... the BRIGHTEST LEVEL IN THE
GAME..... i know cause i finished the game.....
in the brightest level.... I CANT SEE A THING !!!!!!!
even when i use the config.exe file... and put brightness
up to 200%..... i still need 300% Gamma.... just to see
where im walking......

with 300% gamma...... the screen is like... green...like
playing the game through Night-Vision Goggles.....

Ive gone to the Display Properties and gone to hardware
devices..... GForce 4 TI 4400... and put brightness on
FULL...... but still... everything is realy dark......

does any one know how to make the Computer display get
alot brighter???........

i already have the monitor on 100% brightness too.....

NEED RESPONCE NOW!!!!! plz email.......

by... typing... like this...
lol.
in all seriousness, chances are it's your monitor. the quality of a monitor
(flatscreens and CRTs alike) can degrade from many things: time, sunlight,
dust, etc. the effects of these range from simple flickering to complete
degradation of visual quality. i'm guessing that the monitor is simply on
it's last legs and that it's time for a new one. if that's the case, i'd
recommend searching out a 17" or 19" flat CRT; they're moderately cheap and
much better for games than lcd/plasma flatscreens are (those tend to produce
a lot of motion blur; not good for some of today's fast-paced 3D games).
though a bit more costly than a typical CRT, the flat ones offer a better
picture that doesnt warp or bend around the edges of the screen.. check
pricewatch.com or newegg.com for prices.

there's a patch for ETM, on their website but the game still kinda bites.
All I've heard are complaints. I had the same problem either too dark or too
bright. but with the patch, it's at least playable, if hours of chopy
gameplay and sketchy controls are your thing...
