Is there a freeware program for doing trace routes on websites that gives
the results in a cut and paste form? Using Tracert in Windows XP but I
have to type out the results which is proving tedious. Or alternatively
is there a way to copy/paste the information from tracert?

Thanks

If you are working from an windows XP xommand box:
- tracert <IPADDRESS>
richt click the dosbox >> "Mark"
Select the block of text you want to copy (Block wil become inverted)
Rightclick in the inverted part to copy
Open notepad >> Menu "Edit" >> Paste

You cold also do something like
Ping <IPADDRESS> > textfile.txt
notepad textfile.txt

Or download SuperScan4 from Foundstone
(http://www.foundstone.com/resources/proddesc/superscan4.htm)
Has also other nice IP utilities

I've always used Sam Spade for Windows

Features:
" Sam Spade comes with a host of useful network tools including: ping,
nslookup, whois, IP block whois, dig, traceroute, finger, SMTP, VRFY,
web browser, keep-alive, DNS zone transfer, SMTP relay check, and
many more. "

In general, I like SamSpade better, but I found the way SucperScan4 enables
you to copy - paste the traceroute outputs nicer as Sam Spade's output.
Therefor my recomandation of SuperScan4.
