...wscript and firewall

I don't write scripts for anything I do, so this question is in reference to
wscript and my firewall.

I have blocked it, but not sure I should. The virus scanner scans it, so is
that sufficient?

My reason for asking this is that before I blocked it, it was going to the
Internet. For what occasions?

Nope. Though you have a virus scanner in place, you should run scripts only
if you trust the author of the script.
