Wrong Software ID

Stupidly, I have tried to replace some corrupted files in my pre-loaded XP
Home software (i don't have a disk, but I do have the software OEM) which is
on my home PC with a reinstall disk from my work laptop (XP professional),
the product id for BOTH isn't being recognised and I can't register either.
How can I restore the original XP Home and get the work software off my home
PC. The clock is ticking and I'd like to get this solved.
Help!

Contact the OEM and get a replacement for your installation disk(s).

Contact the compute vendor for a replacement of their restore, recovery
or installation CD. The product key for the Home OEM install won't work
with the XP Pro CD nor the reverse.

Another option is to buy an OEM version of Home and attempt a repair
install with that OS and it's product key.
