Wrong photo file #'s

I switched from thumbnail to slide show and now all thumbs do not match
enlarged photo. Please help these are family photos for a gift.

Delete the file Thumbs.db in the folder where the pictures are (don't
worry about the ensuing warning). Reboot, and the problem should be
straightened out. If not, post back.

There is a hidden file in each folder that
contains image files called thumbs.db.

If you delete the thumbs.db file it may
solve the problem. If you cannot see
the thumbs.db file....open a folder and
go to...Tools / Folder Options / View tab...
Tick..."Show hidden files and folders" /
Apply / OK.

How do you delete just the thumbs and not the file? I am printing some pics
now so am unable to shut down system.
