My machine seems to be stuck in Factory Mode. I don't know anything about
sysprep. Can somebody explain to me how to get the computer into "regular
mode" (end-user mode?) without having to reinstall everything?

Thanks!

Hi Jesse,

Would you please let us know what operations you have performed
so that your machine is stuck in Factory Mode? Are you running an
OEM version of Windows XP? What is the symptom of the issue your
are experiencing?

If you have run the "sysprep -factory" command, you can then run
the "sysprep -reseal" command.

OK, this is now resolved. I ran "sysprep -reseal -activated -nosidgen",
which did the trick -- though it did force me to re-enter my COA number, and
launched the mini-welcome. But now PNP works fine.

Thanks!

Glad to hear that. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you
