Do I need to purchase seperate 3rd party software to be
able to write files to a cd after upgrading to windows
2000? My ezcd creator 3 is incompatible with 2000. - this
is the version that came with the machine. From all that I
see I have to purchase either a new version or a different
software to be able to write to the cd.
any comments or experience with this ?

Windows 2000 does not provide "CD writing" software. If you want to
write CD's you will have to aquire suitable software.

AFAICT from the Roxio site (Roxio have taken over support for Adaptec stuff.)
there is no longer any support for Easy CD Creator 3. You could try
http://www.driverguide.com/ to see if anyone has W2K drivers for the thing.
If not, you'll have to purchase some new s/w. I think I'd go for Nero, rather
than Easy CD - it seems to be a tad more compatible with W2K than Easy CD.

Good hunting.
