writing wizard taking hours

I tried coping some pictures to a CD but it says it is going to take 747
minutes???? It has been acting up lately, I had to go in and check "enable
recording", but now it tells me not enough room on CD (which is empty) and
does have plenty of room, and when I do one picture at a time, it says will
take 747 minutes.....what's going on!!!

Please provide more information like the name and version of the burner
software you are using, what you are doing when the notices appear and what
the exact verbiage is on the notices.

Usually when this happens it means the CD/DVD drive is dying. The fix is to
replace it.

It's an internal Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-K16, on a HP laptop. I don't know what
version it is, it doesn't say. The message as it is copying says "estimated
time remaining 747 minutes."
