I need help writing an obituary for my father-in-law. I'd like any
suggestions you may have.

He [sub-name] was in Iwo Jima, as a Marine, completing his service for 4
years; [name] went to school at Syracuse University on a football scholarship
as a quarterback and graduated. He then went into the Army as an officer,
served tours in Korea, Vietnam, Germany, and Iran. He worked his way up to a
major (while teaching ROTC at the P M S of Polytechnic high school in
Riverside, battalion of 1965), and retired in 1969, rasing a family as a
widower, and a single parent of 3 children, settling in San Diego, CA.

This forum is concerned with the how rather than the what. You may find what
you are looking for by searching at Google or by asking people who knew him.
