Write protection for camera memory card

I am trying to delete pictures from my camera's video card. I keep getting
an error message saying the Card is write protected. Remove write
protection. Anyone know how to do that?
 
Some memory cards have a tiny slide switch on one edge of the card that
enables or disables writing. Sometimes when you pull the card from the
camera the switch is pushed to the disable writing position.

Stick it back in the camera and choose Format.
