Write Conflict

I've jusyt picked up te following problem. I have an Access 2000 FE and SQL
2000 BE.

When trying to edit information in certain forms and tables in access, I get
the following msg:

Write Conflict
The record has been changed by another user since you started editing it. If
you save the record, you will overwrite the changes the other user made.

THis despite the fact that I am the only one using the app at the moment -
and am able to edit teh record directly in SQL Server Enterprise Manager
with no problem.

I have checked the record locking setting sin access, and they are set to
lock edited record - I've tried canging this to "no locks" to no avail.

Any ideas why this might be the case?

There is a few things I would check:

If your current form runs any sql update code, calls vb routines that
updates the current record..then you will get that message.

So, when I call any code, or even launch another form, I force a diskwrite.

if me.Dirty = True then
me.Dirty = False
end if

The above snip of code will force a disk write.

If you are not calling any code...then next I would ensure that a timestamp
field is exposed to ms-access. So, make sure each table has a timestamp
field exposed...
