Wow64 redirection

I'm writing an application under .NET 32-bit. The app runs also on Windows
XP 64-bit Edition. I noticed that when looking for files under
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS that I am being redirected to
C:\WINDOWS\WOWSYS64\DRIVERS. Is there a way within my 32-bit app to turn off
the redirection for the short duration of my file check?

Your question doesn't relate to C#, you might get better answers when
posting to - microsoft.beta.srv2003sp1.xp64client.

Can you tell me how to access that news group? I can't find it in the
available selections on screen.
