Would like to delete a folder I added to Folder List in Outlook 2002

HELP says:
1. In the Folder List, click the folder you want to delete.
2. On the File menu, point to Folder, and then click Delete 'Folder
Name'.

After clicking the folder I want to delete and going to File | Folder,
there is no delete option available. There is a Delete Outlook Today
option, but it is grayed out.

How can I delete the folder I added?

TIA

I always use right click, delete....

Are you using the folder list or the outlook bar?

No delete option available with right click! However, there was a
'Close' option with right click, which, when clicked, made the 'Personal
Folder' disappear from the 'Folder List'.

Not exactly as described by HELP said:

I'm using what says 'Folder List' at the top of the list. (Doesn't the
'Outlook Bar' say 'Outlook Shortcuts' at the top?)

Not exactly as described by HELP, but what the heck <g>.

You're confusing "folder" and "Personal Folders File". What you created was
the latter. What Diane was describing was the former. That's why the
right-click menus were different. Different objects. If you had looked a
little harder at the name in the Folder List, you would have see "Personal
Folders" (plural), not "Personal Folder". Had you described exactly what
you saw, the confusion would not have arisen.
