Hello, is there anyone out there that can help me.
My computer seems to have picked up something. There is a program that
keeps on installing on my computer everytime i reboot : spywarequake. I've
downloaded spybot and tried to fix the problem. But each time it scans a file
: VCODEC and it says it fixes it, but its still there everytime i reboot
also. I've downloaded windows defender, but says there is nothing wrong.
I've also tried to do a remove program for SPYWAREQUAKE, but it only
reappears. I've also tried to do a system restore, but no use. Is there
anything i can do without having to reformat my computer ?

Add housecall.trendmicro.com to your list of used Spyware detection
tools... On more than one occasion, it's detected things that many
other toold did not. (That doesn't mean you don't use and run them
all periodically, it just means, be sure to include Housecall in your
routine)

I forget the exact url, but run the CWShredder utility first via the
web, and from the CWShredder box after it runs, there's a link to
TrendMicro's online spyware scanner, which (at the bottom of the
page), you can run via the web too.

Google is a good resource. Doing a search on remove spywarequake gives
this:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=remove+spywarequake&btnG=Search

Have you e-mailed the people who make Spybot, I have in the past and they
are very knowledgeable.
